Wake up, grab your coffee and enjoy the serenity of Gruene Lake Ranch's unique A-Frame community! You can either make breakfast in the spacious kitchen or treat yourself to some of the many delicious spots nearby. Within a ten minute drive/Uber you will be floating the Guadalupe or Comal rivers, playing at Schlitterbahn, shopping and enjoying live music in downtown Gruene, or rocking out at the Whitewater Amphitheater! Head over to the stocked community ponds to fish for some bass, catfish, or bluegill. Grill dinner on the patio with your private BBQ. Later you can play corn hole, watch the sunset from the porch swing with a drink in hand or roast marshmallows over your very own fire pit.
New home and furnishings! Comfortable yet modern with all the conveniences you could want during your vacation. Toiletries in all three bathrooms, bath towels, pool/river towels, makeup towels, floor fan, luggage racks, washer/dryer, detergent, iron, and coffee are all provided for your use.
You will have full and private access to the entire home and front patio. The greater community will include fishing lakes, pools, cattle viewing/feeding, live music, general store, and a chapel. Please note that they community amenities are still being built out and not complete at this time.
We are located in the serene hill country and conveniently situated between New Braunfels/Gruene and Canyon Lake. While on site you are removed from the hustle and bustle and can enjoy the sounds of the birds in the morning and star gazing at night. However, within a 5-10 minute drive you are in the middle Gruene, New Braunfels, and Canyon Lake.
Free parking is provided directly behind the home with easy and convenient access.
Please note that the community and neighboring homes are still under construction. During the weekday hours there will be workers in the community finishing up homes and the community amenities like the pool, mercantile, and outdoor music area. At this time, these are not yet available which is why nightly rates have been significantly reduced. Please reach out with any specific questions you may have. We will be available for any questions you have during your stay. We also have a manager located in New Braunfels should you require immediate assistance.
There are two exterior Ring cameras monitoring the front door and back area of home (guest parking) for the guest's safety.

The entrance is sometimes hard to find when going down FM-306. If driving from Interstate 35 keep an eye out for the large cell tower on the left hand side of the road. Our entrance is on the right hand side right after the 55 Speed Limit sign. Turn on your blinker when you see the cell tower and stay to the right. You will pull into the dirt road entrance and enter under the large "GR" gate.
Once you arrive continue straight and follow the signs that say "Upper Lake Cabins".

Unforgettable!
Our stay at the Ashley and Romans property was truly unforgettable. The home itself was beautiful, but what made it extraordinary was the meaning it held for my family and me. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there celebrating what would have been my late father’s 60th birthday, and the space gave us comfort, peace, and togetherness during such an emotional time. Waking up to a breathtaking sunrise felt like a quiet reminder of him, and the thoughtful post-Christmas treat from the hosts touched our hearts more than words can express. Every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for, and this property will forever be tied to such a special family memory. I am incredibly grateful for this experience and will absolutely be rebooking in the future.

The house was exactly as described and pictured — beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds and a great fire pit for s’more activities! The hosts were wonderful and very responsive throughout our stay. It’s only about a 10-minute drive from the historic Gruene area, and there are plenty of DoorDash options nearby if you’d rather stay in. The property will be even better once the surrounding community is fully finished. Highly recommend!

My family and I were close to 6 days staying at the cabin and exceeded our expectations . From arrival to the fine attentions we received from Román and Ashley . Always attentive to what we needed . The photos in the publication do not approach reality , that is to say that the cabin is more beautiful in person. Peaceful getaway!
Place was perfect. I felt right at home. Kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Restrooms also had everything needed even extra towels and extra toilet paper, Definitely kid friendly, I didn’t take my kids with me but thinking of going again with the kids. Place was clean and super comfortable. The location was great it was close to town but also away in a secluded area. Will definitely be staying again when I need another getaway from the city life or planning a trip to the river.
Absolutely worth every penny!
I stayed with my 2.5 year old toddler, my 8m old baby, husband and my 69 yo father, everyone had a blast. The cabin looks exactly like the photos and the hosts are super professional and responsive. the only thing that was not perfect was the check in was late due to cleaning team's lack of punctuality and difficulty to communicate with English but that's not the host's fault. host has been super amazing before, during and after. we'll come back again and definitely recommending this to all of our friends in the area.
Loved our stay!
Beds were comfortable, house was clean, area is so peaceful w a nice walking trail, Kitchen was nicely stocked w GOOD cookware, knives ect… As stated in the description, there is construction in the area but it didn’t bother us one bit. The littles especially enjoyed the loft area and the bigs enjoyed sitting around the fire outside while I enjoyed watching the fire through the beatiful windows sitting on the comfy sofa inside as it was too cold for my comfort 😉 I will definitely stay here again if in the area
Comfortable and Convenient
We stayed 3 nights with 2 other couple friends. We were in town for our daughter’s wedding. We loved the proximity to the wedding venue and all of the comforts of home. We used the fire pit every evening, our grandkids stayed nearby and roasted marshmallows and hot dogs. We enjoyed the cornhole and swing on the porch. It was very clean and the kitchen had ample amounts of cooking and serving dishes. Thank you for sharing your home.

Beautiful new glamping experience in a massive retro a-frame. Was perfect for us and our 6 kids- when the entire development is built, this place will be amazing- for now, its amazing to have the whole place to yourself! Loved it
